Over the course of my life there have been several things that have inspired me to choose the path I am on now. My parents have always worked on electronics, ever since I was very little.
They inspired me to get into the computer and technology field, and are always full of encouragement and advice. My family and I spent a lot of time playing games like Age of Empires, Ultima Online, and Neverwinter Nights together while I was growing up.
When I discovered that there were editor tools for Neverwinter Nights, I began playing with the tools and making my own campaigns. One of my favorite features were the dialogue trees and scripting events that happened with specific responses (i.e. them taking the item from your inventory when you choose the option to tell/give them the item they're looking for). I believe that's what sparked the passion I have for designing and building levels now.
December 2012, I graduated from Abilene Christian University with a Bachelor's degree in Information Technology and a minor in Digital Entertainment Technology.
December 2014, I graduated from Guildhall at Southern Methodist University with a certificate in Digital Game Development, specializing in Level Design.
May 2015, I began working at Sony Bend as an Associate Technical Game Design Intern for 4 months. Afterwards, I was hired on as an Associate Technical Designer working on Days Gone (Released April 26, 2019). Over the next few months I worked on the DLC Challenge for Week 11, Dead Before Daylight (Release September 6th, 2019).
Some of my hobbies are:
Reading scifi, fantasy, or apocalypse horror books.
Watching anything Critical Role, Marvel, and Star Wars.
Playing video games like Dragon Age, Until Dawn, and Heavy Rain.
Attending and dressing up for Renaissance Festivals.
Cosplaying at PAX and other gaming and anime conventions.
Playing Dungeons & Dragons with my friends and family.
